The park event starts at 6, we can probably setup there any time between 6 and 7. Use the entrance on highway 9 near Felton. the NWS forecast is for 'clear', but cold and gusty on Saturday night. this was a lot of fun.
this was a lot of fun. when I arrived, Chris was setting up his 16" meade, bill with his 10" dob, and ____ with a nice large orion refractor on the new skyview pro eq. Due to trees and horizons, we ended up set up right by the entrance kiosk.
I backed in, set up 10" Red, and zoomed in on Lunar craters. the rangers were doing a bunch of programs at the visitors center, so we got groups of people stopping by as they were leaving. I'd guess we had 100 or so people through the evening.
I swiped a peek from the Orion scope... Wow, televue 7mm nagler type 6. very nice view, very crisp. I think the scope was a 80ED Apochromatic. the Skyview Pro mount was very nice, looked like it could easily handle a C8.
