Hi Folks,

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Tonopah Astronomical Society, the group has made arrangements to have Amy Lo and Steve Warwick - both of Grumman Space Technology in Redondo Beach, CA come to Tonopah for presentations on projects which Grumman has been working on.

Amy Lo's topic be the new James Webb Space Telescope and Steve Warwick's will be searching for exoplanets using the Star Shades and Space Telescopes and the New World Observer Program.

The presentations will be held on Saturday, September 7, in town to encourage local people, particularly local school groups, to attend.

Please mark your calendars for September 5 to 8, 2013. As usual, the official event begins on Thursday, but the chemical toilets will be onsite on Wednesday, September 4, allowing early arrival for those who don't bring their own facilities. They'll stay through mid-day Monday, September 9.

We'd appreciate a reply so we can anticipate how many to expect.

Please RSVP to Edith. Her e mail is ecohen19@att.net
